SEND at Saint Edmund's

All children are unique and have different ways of learning, playing and expressing themselves.
Some children have additional learning needs, which may mean they need some extra support at school.

Our vision for children with special educational needs and disabilities is the same as for all children – that they achieve well in school and lead happy and fulfilled lives.  Their special educational needs and disabilities will be picked up at the earliest point with support routinely put in place quickly. Children and their parents or carers will be fully involved in decisions about their support and what they want to achieve.

At Saint Edmund’s Catholic Primary School we aim for all children to have access to a broad and balanced curriculum, to form good relationships, develop an optimum level of personal self-awareness and self-esteem, and encourage them to realise that they are responsible for their own learning so that they can achieve their full potential.

It is our aim that all children are included in all aspects of school life.

Working in partnership with parents, we aim to build positive relationships and enable parents to share their knowledge about their child and give them confidence that their views and contributions are valued and will be acted upon.
