Our Vision, Mission and Values
Our school is a Catholic school with Gospel values at the core of all we do. All members of our school community live by our Catholic ethos and Gospel values. This underpins all we do at our school, from forming relationships to academic achievement and school improvement. Our vision and values are evident in the children's great attitudes towards their learning and everyone's positive relationships with each other in school.
The values that Saint Edmund’s uphold go beyond academics—they are the values of kindness, respect, and love for one another, rooted in our Christian faith. The school serves as a community hub, connecting families and fostering a sense of belonging among children and parents alike. It’s a place where every child is seen and valued, where their individual gifts are recognised and developed.
Saint Edmund's encourages civic responsibility and promoting the common good. We are a place where children learn to be citizens, to understand their role in the world, and to develop a sense of responsibility towards others.
Saint Edmund’s plays a vital role in this mission, nurturing the young minds and hearts that will one day lead our community and our world.

We are proud to be part of The Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust and follow our collective vision:
We love, we learn, we live together.
We are a community of Catholic schools together aspiring to give
children an all-round education rooted in Christian values in a
nurturing environment where they flourish, become lifelong learners
and fulfil their potential.

DCET Vision and Values
At St Edmund's we uphold and live out the values of DCET. The children are taught, encouraged and reflect upon these values throughout their learning and day to day experiences at school. The children are celebrated for showing the values of our Catholic family, DCET.
More information about the values can be found in the link below.
